Storytelling in the Field

Live Events

I create live events that leave audiences feeling heard, connected, and galvanized to keep engaging.

Method: Create interactive experiences that provoke both discovery and belonging.

  • Offer multiple ways for audiences to engage with individual stories

  • Reflect the community back to itself in diverse formats

  • Facilitate active audience participation from the start

  • Close with useful, actionable opportunities for attendees to keep engaging

Why it delivers: Celebrating the uniqueness of their stories and their connection to a larger whole is a viscerally poignant for audiences, whether they are examining a storyteller’s role in community, or a community’s place within regional and national narratives. Holding space in varied formats for both individual expression and shared identity delivers a powerful affirmation. Attendees leave feeling not only seen and valued, but more personally connected to those they experienced the event with—including your organization or brand for facilitating it. See these methods in action in moments from my event portfolio below.
